Video Game Tester

Did you ever think what is the description of video game tester? There is a lot of misconception regarding this job. You must think that video games tester job is fun and simple because fully working hour they are with it playing and playing and playing.

Actually the video game tester play video game for living due to video game publisher strictly want the game really being tested to commit zero defect. So, they are playing game not as a consumer as we all thought, the video game is like a unfinish product. Even the game were publish, the tester is still working to find a bug and glitches before and after 6 months released.

The goal instead is to carefully and painstakingly go through every part of each level slowly, checking for everything that could go wrong. Game testers evaluate each texture, drawing and distance. They run into every wall and surface to make sure it reacts appropriately. It's a serious, tedious and, yes, often boring task.

As the game tester encounters each flaw, the glitch must be recorded for the game designers. This entails keeping a log that notes what kind of glitch occurred, under what circumstances it cropped up, and when it happened. It's important that bugs are documented properly, otherwise the game could be pushed back in development and never reach retail, or it may reach retail and possess bugs that render it unplayable for the consumer, which would be a disaster. It's up to the game tester to ensure that none of these nightmare scenarios occur. All the the documented bugs and glitches are passed back to the game designer, changes are made in-game, and then later versions of the game title are produced and sent to testers, and the process begins anew. The goals is to achieve a relatively bug-free game, which takes time and dedication from game testers.
